Armenian National Public Radio – Armenian national public radio established in 1926 with coverage on Armenia, diaspora, and other regional/international news. The website was launched in 2013. Coverage in Armenian, English, Russian, Azerbaijani, Turkish, Georgian, Greek, Kurdish,  Kannada, Arabic, and Persian.

Banks.am –  Online news website founded in 2006 by Mediamax, that reports on Armenian and international banking. Coverage in Armenian, English, and Russian.

CivilNet –  National online news website founded in 2008 by the Civilitas Foundation that reports daily. CivilNet features written articles, in depth investigations, and video interviews. Coverage in Armenian and English. 

Eurasianet - Independent news organization founded in 1999 by the Open Society Institute that provides news, information, and analysis focused on countries in Central Asia and the Caucasus. Eurasianet is now hosted by Columbia University’s Harriman Institute and is supported by a variety of international foundations. Coverage in English and Russian.  

EVN Report –  Local news website founded in 2017 by Maria Titizian that covers daily news on Armenia and the diaspora. Coverage primarily in English, but also some articles in Armenian. 

H-pem – Armenian diaspora website founded in 2019 by the Hamazkayin Armenian Educational and Cultural Society. H-pem covers local Armenian and worldwide Armenian diaspora culture, language, and arts. Published on a rolling basis. Coverage in English.

Aravot News –  Print and online newspaper founded in 1994. Coverage in Armenian, English, and Russian.

ARMENPRESS –  Official state news outlet founded in 1920 that provides brief official government released news. Coverage in Armenian, English, Russian, French, and Persian.

Eurasia Daily Monitor - Publication launched in 2004 by the Jamestown Foundation, a Washington D.C. based institute for research and analysis. The Eurasia Daily Monitor is an analytical publication that surveys recent developments in Eurasia, providing overview and analysis of events. Coverage in English.

Hetq –  National investigative journalism website founded in 2001 by the Investigative Journalists of Armenia organization. Coverage in Armenian, English, and Russian.

Lragir –  Online news agency founded in 2005. Coverage in Armenian, English, and Russian.

News.am –  Online news agency founded in 2009 that covers issues in Armenia, the diaspora, and regional affairs. Coverage in Armenian, English, Russian, and Turkish.

openDemocracy -  United Kingdom-based political website founded in 2001 that provides reporting and analysis of events throughout the world, including occasionally Central Asia and the Caucuses. “openDemocracy” is owned by the nonprofit openDemocracy Foundation for the Advancement of Global Education. openDemocracy was founded by Anthony Barnett, David Hayes, Susan Richards, and Paul Hilder. Coverage in English.

PanArmenian Network –  First Armenian online news website and analytical agency that was founded in 2000 by Armen Azaryan and the "PanArmenian Network". Coverage in Armenian, English, and Russian.

RFE/RL Armenia Service Ազատություն ռ/կ - Radio Free Europe/Radio Liberty’s Armenian branch offers national news articles and videos. RFE/FL Armenia is funded by the United States through the U.S. Agency for Global Media. Coverage in Armenian, English, and Russian.

Ter Hambardzun –  Armenian religious news website founded in 2001 by the Armenian Apostolic Church. Coverage only in Armenian

Tert.am –  National online news website founded in 2008 by Media Style, LLC. Tert.am was later purchased by TERT AM, LLC. In 2019, it was incorporated into the company Qaryak Media. Coverage in Armenian, English, and Russian.

The Diplomat - International online news magazine founded in 2001 covering politics, society, and culture in Asia. The Diplomat frequently runs articles on Central Asia and is based in Washington, D.C. The Diplomat was founded by Minh Bui Jones, David Llewellyn-Smith, and Sung Lee.  Coverage in English.



Diaspora Media


Agos – Turkish-Armenian newspaper founded in 1996 by Hrant Dink that reports on the Turkish-Armenian diaspora and Armenia, as well as other international and local Turkish news. Available weekly in print and daily online. Coverage in Turkish, Armenian, and English.

Asbarez – Los Angeles based daily newspaper on Armenia and Armenian diaspora that was originally founded in 1908 by the Western USA Central Committee of the Armenian Revolutionary Federation. Asbarez’s website was launched in 1997. Coverage in English and Armenian.

The Armenian Mirror Spectator – American-Armenian newspaper founded in 1932 by the Baikar Association that reports on issues in the Armenian diaspora and Republic of Armenia. Available in print weekly and daily online. Coverage in English only.

The Armenian Weekly | Hairenik Weekly – American-Armenian newspaper founded in 1899 by the Armenian Revolutionary Federation that reports on issues in the Armenian diaspora and Republic of Armenia. Available in print weekly and daily online. Coverage in Armenian at Hairenik Weekly and in English at Armenian Weekly.

Zartonk Media – Armenian diaspora media founded in 2019 by co-founder Zaven Keuroghlian and is based in Los Angeles, USA. Articles are online only and published daily. Coverage only in English.
