CAA-Network - Online integrated platform designed to increase Central Asian citizens’ access to objective information and sophisticated analysis. CAAN provides facts on domestic and global affairs. CAAN is run by a team of young and experienced media activists and experts based in each country of region. Coverage primarily in Russian with some Uzbek and English. 

Cabar.Asia -  Regional analytical, informational and educational platform for Central Asia. Cabar.Asia’s mission is to develop expert and journalistic analytics, provide training on new media, and provide analytical support for broad social processes in the countries of the region. Cabar.Asia operates under the Institute for War and Peace Reporting (IWPR) Central Asia Office. The international non-governmental organization IWPR has been successfully implementing various programs in Central Asia for 20 years. Coverage in English. 

Eurasianet - Independent news organization founded in 1999 by the Open Society Institute that provides news, information, and analysis focused on countries in Central Asia and the Caucasus. Eurasianet is now hosted by Columbia University’s Harriman Institute and is supported by a variety of international foundations. Coverage in English and Russian.  

Gazeta.uz - Daily online outlet founded in 2008 by Suren Sapov that focuses on economics, politics, society and major news in Uzbekistan. It also has an “Opinion” column where independent experts write columns. Gazeta.uz’s motto is “News for people”. Coverage in Uzbek and Russian. 

The Diplomat - International online news magazine founded in 2001 covering politics, society, and culture in Asia. The Diplomat frequently runs articles on Central Asia and is based in Washington, D.C. The Diplomat was founded by Minh Bui Jones, David Llewellyn-Smith, and Sung Lee.  Coverage in English. 

Voice of America (Amerika Ovozi) - The largest United States international broadcaster founded in 1942 that broadcasts multimedia programs in 45 languages ​​to a variety of audiences with limited access to free media, or no access at all. Since its founding, Voice of America journalists have provided live news coverage, independent of government pressure or influence. The platform is fully funded by United States taxpayers. Daryo.uz - Online publication designed to provide Uzbek readers with the latest news from Uzbekistan and around the world using simple language. Coverage in Uzbek. 

Eurasia Daily Monitor - Publication launched in 2004 by the Jamestown Foundation, a Washington D.C. based institute for research and analysis. The Eurasia Daily Monitor is an analytical publication that surveys recent developments in Eurasia, providing overview and analysis of events. Coverage in English. 

Fergana News - International news agency founded in 1998 in Moscow by Daniil Kislov. Fergana News works with dozens of journalists, photographers, activists and freelancers in Russia, Uzbekistan, and other Central Asian countries. Coverage in Uzbek, Kazkah, Kyrygz, Turkmen, Tajik, and Russian. 

Hook Report - Informational platform founded in 2018 that provides articles on news and the history of Uzbekistan. Also provides podcasts and fact checking. Coverage in Russian. 

Kun.uz - News website founded in 2012 that is one of the most active online publications in Uzbekistan. The website is designed to provide fast, accurate, and objective information about the most important events taking place in Uzbekistan and the world. Coverage in Uzbek, Russian, and English. 

openDemocracy -  United Kingdom-based political website founded in 2001 that provides reporting and analysis of events throughout the world, including occasionally Central Asia and the Caucuses. “openDemocracy” is owned by the nonprofit openDemocracy Foundation for the Advancement of Global Education. openDemocracy was founded by Anthony Barnett, David Hayes, Susan Richards, and Paul Hilder. Podrobno.uz - News platform founded by Andrey Teshaev that covers news from Uzbekistan and Central Asia on politics, economics, society, technology, culture, and sports. Podrobno is curated by Sputnik, a company owned by “Russia Today”. Coverage in Russian.

Qalampir.uz - Multimedia platform that provides coverage on politics, business, and culture within Uzbekistan. Also has some coverage on international events, including sports. Coverage in Uzbek.

Sof.uz - News website with a  narrow audience that covers national and  international news. Sof.uz has sections on the economy, society, science, medicine, sport, and analysis. Coverage in Uzbek only. 

Spot.uz - News platform founded in 2017 by Suren Sapov that mainly focuses on business and technology. Coverage in Uzbek and Russian, but mainly in Russian. 

Sputnik Uzbekistan - News agency whose products include newsfeeds, websites, social networks, mobile apps, radio broadcasts, and multimedia press centers. Sputnik International's predecessors are the state-run news agency RIA Novosti and the Voice of Russia radio service, which were disbanded in 2013. The agency covers global political and economic news targeting an international audience. Coverage in Uzbek and Russian. 

Tashkent Times - Online  news website on international news and domestic news in Uzbekistan. Coverage only in English. 

Teznews.uz - Multimedia platform that provides coverage on politics, business, and culture within Uzbekistan. Coverage in Uzbek. 

Times of Central Asia - Bishkek-based newspaper founded in 1999 by Giorgio Fiacconi that covers Central Asian politics, investments, economics, commerce, culture, social issues, corruption, and terrorism.  It ceased print publication in 2013 and is now only online. Coverage in English Only. 

Uza - State-owned national News Agency of Uzbekistan (UzA) is an official source of information and the leading news agency of the republic. Coverage in Uzbek, Russian, English, Kazkah, French, Spanish, Dutch, Arabic, and Chinese. 

Uzbek Review - Informational platform intended to close the gap in the analytical dimensions of media in Uzbekistan. The scope of their activity is threefold: collecting, analyzing, and presenting comprehensive information on Uzbek economy and its market overview. Coverage in Uzbek, Russian, and English. 

Uzdaily - Online platform founded by Anvar Umarov that provides essential business news and information on Uzbekistan and other Central Asian states. Coverage in Uzbek, Russian, and English. 

Uznews.uz - News agency founded in 2015 that specializes in covering a wide range of news from Uzbekistan. Users mostly read it via Instagram feed. Coverage in Uzbek and Russian. 

Uzreport - One of the leading internet portals and TV channels of Uzbekistan, which accumulates and publishes daily news from different spheres of political, economic and cultural life of the country. Uzreport was founded by Ravshakhon Juraev and provides information on banks, stock exchanges, insurance, securities market, announced tenders and auctions, exhibitions, forums, development, etc. Coverage in Uzbek, Russian, and English. 

Xabar.uz - News website founded in 2017 by Abdugani Abdurahmonov that covers domestic and international news. Xabar.uz is linked to the Uzbek Ministry of Communications. Coverage in Uzbek and Russian.
